On May 11, Zhao Guo'ang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Poly Sinolight and Chairman of China Haisum, led a delegation to China National Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd. ("CNSIC"), where they met with Shen Zhaojun, Party Secretary and Chairman of CNSIC. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including digital transformation of the salt industry, intelligent manufacturing, sci-tech innovation, strategic emerging industries, and future industry development, and reached consensus on strategic cooperation. Wang Yun and Gong Feng, Deputy General Managers of CNSIC, and Yu Xiaodong, Executive Deputy General Manager, and Sun Bo, Deputy General Manager of Poly Sinolight, attended the meeting.
Zhao Guo'ang expressed his appreciation for CNSIC's long-standing support. He noted that, as the core pillar and strategic foundation of China's salt industry, CNSIC plays a vital role in ensuring the security of essential supplies and maintaining the stability of the industrial chain. As the only central enterprise in China's light industry with an integrated value chain spanning scientific research, design, engineering, and intelligent manufacturing, Poly Sinolight has, in recent years, focused on such key areas as advanced materials, synthetic biology, smart engineering, and intelligent equipment. Through sustained development in these fields, the company has built strong scientific research capabilities, robust innovation momentum, and full talent and organizational reserves. The two companies share strong industrial alignment, high complementarity, and a solid foundation for cooperation. Poly Sinolight looks forward to establishing an innovation consortium with CNSIC to pursue all-round, in-depth cooperation in sci-tech R&D, industrial collaboration, green and low-carbon development, and intelligent manufacturing, among other fields. The two sides will also actively explore capital collaboration models across industrial chains, co-invest in high-quality projects in areas such as advanced materials and intelligent equipment, strengthen international cooperation, and work together to propel the salt industry's transition toward intelligent, green, and integrated development. Through these efforts, the two companies aim to spur the high-quality growth of the light industry and the salt industry to a new height.
Shen Zhaojun welcomed Zhao Guo'ang and his delegation. He stated that CNSIC and Poly Sinolight share a long history of cooperation and deep-rooted connection. The two sides share a high degree of alignment in their principal businesses, while each brings its own distinctive resource strengths to the table. Over the years, underpinned by mutual trust and reciprocal support, they have forged ahead hand in hand and cultivated a deep and enduring partnership. Poly Sinolight has accumulated extensive expertise and outstanding strengths in intelligent manufacturing, engineering design, and technological R&D. CNSIC, meanwhile, has established a sound upstream-to-downstream salt industry value chain, supported by diverse industrial platforms and application scenarios. With strong complementarity, the two sides have tremendous cooperation potential and broad prospects for future development. Shen expressed hope that the two companies would use this exchange as an opportunity to further expand cooperation areas and deepen collaboration. By focusing on key directions such as energy conservation, carbon reduction, green development of the salt industry, end-to-end intelligent transformation, and industrial digital upgrading, the two sides will pursue pilot initiatives and breakthroughs, jointly build benchmark smart factories, and explore an innovative development pathway "empowered by technologies with application scenarios".
During the meeting, Poly Sinolight delivered a special report on the digital and intelligent transformation needs of the salt industry's entire value chain, showcasing its technical strength and experience in putting them into practice.
Representatives from relevant departments of both companies, China Haisum, and related entities attended the meeting.
